The Gambia’s female 4x100m relay team competing in the Islamic Solidarity Games underway in Konya, has won the gold medal in the event with a time of 43.83 seconds.
The Gambian quartet of Gina Bass, Wurrie Njadore, Maimuna Jallow and Ola Buwaro, had a stellar start in the event and maintained the momentum to win the second gold medal for The Gambia, following Gina’s triumph in the 200m.
Meanwhile, the male relay team did well to finish fourth in 39.27 seconds.
