Sport stakeholders of Lower River Region, over the weekend converged at the Gamworks Regional Office in Pakalinfing, LRR, at a congress aimed at electing executive members of the Lower River Regional Sport Committee.
The congress which was held without any hitches, witnessed the re-election of the chairman and vice chairman for another term while the rest of the members got elected unopposed as well but for their first term.
Delivering his acceptance speech, Mr. Darboe vowed to continue to work hard with his executive members in the interest of sport development in his region and the Gambia at large. He was quick to urge all sport enthusiasts in the LRR to continue to support them.
Speaking earlier, Ebrima Secka Programme Manager of the National Sport Council who presided over the congress, congratulated the executive and challenged them to ensure that they work in accordance with their constitution. And in the interest of the people they are elected to serve.
