Mr. Mohammed Osman Nkosi, President of Football Operations, Titans of Africa, who is also the Director of Development at the Ghana American Football Federation, today called on the Executive Director of the National Sport Council to discuss with the NSC about activities of Titans of Africa and the need for an association for American Football in the Gambia.
Speaking at the meeting held at the NSC offices at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, Mr. Nkosi explained that his visit was meant to discuss with Gambian sport
authorities about the Titans of Africa and also the importance of having an American Football Association in The Gambia.
Furthermore, he pledged his willingness to support the process of establishing the said association. “In the NLF in the USA, there are African players doing very well. However, not many African countries have an Association for this. I am convinced if African countries have associations for the sport, more African youth will do well and benefit through this sport”, said Nkosi.
Speaking earlier, Marchel Mendy, Executive Director of the National Sport Council thanked Mr. Nkosi for reaching out to the NSC. He assured him of his office’s readiness to ensure an active American Football Association is established in The Gambia.
