The National Assembly’s Finance and Public Accounts Committee (FPAC), today 21st July, 2022, adopted the financial and activities reports of the National Sport Council (NSC) for the year 2019.
The National Sport Council was invited by FPAC for the annual presentation of her audited accounts and activities reports for the year 2019
Members of the FPAC during the consideration of reports, following the presentation which took place on Wednesday 20th July, 2022, took turns to ask questions with regard to soliciting clarifications on some aspects of the reports.
Members who applauded the NSC were quick to advise her to maintain the momentum and continue to ensure that public funds are used judiciously. The NSC was advised among other things, to ensure there is a framework for the ownership and management of all sport facilities in The Gambia and to ensure an equitable distribution of funds among sport associations.
The NSC is expected to submit financial and activities reports for the year 2020 to the FPAC on or before 8th September, 2022.
