The NAYCONF KM 2024 volleyball competition brought thrilling matchups and dominant performances last night at the Serekunda East Mini Stadium. Both male and female categories delivered intense action as regional teams battled for supremacy.
Female Category Results
In the first fixture, West Coast Region (WCR) displayed their strength against Kanifing Municipal Council (KMC), winning convincingly 2-0. WCR dominated both sets, securing victories at 25-14 and 25-20, showcasing superior teamwork and precision.
The second match saw Central River Region (CRR) claim an uncontested victory over Lower River Region (LRR). With LRR failing to present a female team, CRR was awarded the win 2-0 by default.
In a tightly contested third game, Upper River Region (URR) overcame Banjul with an impressive performance. URR sealed their victory 2-0, winning the sets 25-22 and 25-18. Their strong serves and cohesive play ensured a well-deserved win.
Male Category Results
The men’s games were equally competitive, with West Coast Region (WCR) continuing their dominance by defeating KMC 2-0. WCR claimed the sets 25-19 and 26-24, withstanding KMC’s late surge in the second set to secure the victory.
In the second match, Central River Region (CRR) outplayed Lower River Region (LRR) to win 2-0. CRR took the first set 25-23 and stepped up their performance in the second, winning comfortably 25-16.
The final game of the night featured a battle between Upper River Region (URR) and Banjul. Banjul showcased their experience and composure, claiming victory 2-0. They won the tightly contested sets 25-22 and 25-23, ensuring a hard-fought triumph.
