Gambia’s track queen, Gina Bass is through to the 200m semi-finals at the ongoing World Athletics Championship in Oregon, USA. Gina finished fourth with a timing of 22.78, earning a place in the best 16 in the 200m at the championship. The semi-finals will take place on Wednesday at 12:05am Gambian time.
Gina finished sixth in the 200m in Doha in 2019. In this year’s semi-finals, Gambian track queen will compete against some of the best sprinters in the world in the 200m, among them Jamaican star, Shericka Jackson and the 2019 bronze medalist, Mujinga Kambundji of Switzerland.
