The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) through the National Sports Council (NSC) presented 2.6 million dalasi to the Gambia Amputee Football Team to support the team’s preparation and participation to the African Amputee Cup of Nations to be held in Egypt from 18 to 27 May 2024.
During the presentation, Minister Badjie presented the national battle flag to the team, emphasizing the importance of the presentation. He expressed his appreciation in the team’s commitment and dedication, and wished them success in the tournament.
Minister Badjie renewed Government’s commitment for the team, encouraging the players to enhance their performance in the competition.
The acting Executive Director of the National Sports Council, Mahmoud Lamin Jawla, also addressed the team. He encouraged them to uphold discipline and be good ambassadors.
The team finished at the quarter finals in the last edition in Tanzania.
