The Hon. Minister of Youth and Sport, Bakary Y. Badjie, recently embarked on a nationwide tour of youth and sports facilities in order to get firsthand information with regard to the projects under the purview of his Ministry across the country. The Hon. Minister was accompanied by senior officials of his Ministry among them, the Executive Director of the National Sports Council, Mr. Marchel Mendy.
The tour entourage visited youth and sport infrastructures in all the seven administrative regions, In NBR the entourage visited the proposed site for a mini stadium in Kuntaya, Kerewan football field under construction as well as other sport facilities within the region.
The Hon. Minister and his delegation proceeded on the tour with visits to similar projects in other regions. The tour ended with an inspection of the ongoing remodeling and renovation work at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
