The Minister of Youth and Sport, Hon. Bakary Yaya Badjie, told young people currently attending the national Youth and Sport summer camp that all young people irrespective of which region they come from and religion they belong to, they have one thing in common. This he said is the fact that they are all Gambians.
He went on to commend the National Youth and Sport Councils for their commitment and hard work towards ensuring that the event is a success. He urged the campers to make the best of the opportunity and become better people after the camp.
Speaking earlier, the Executive Director of the National Sport Council encouraged campers to learn as much as possible but also make new friends and continue to build on the relationships.
For his part, Alhajie Jarju, Executive Director of the National Youth Council, commended the Ministry of Youth and Sport for the support and called for more support in order make the national youth and sport summer camps (local and international) a big success.
