Following the submission of a budget by the Gambia Football Federation for the Gambia’s last match in qualifiers for the AFCON 2024 to be played in Ivory Coast from 13th January to 11th February, 2024, the government of the Gambia through the Ministry of Youth and Sports has approved D11M.
Out of the said amount, already D9.7M has been paid to the GFF as advance payment. This is meant to facilitate the payment of flight tickets, hotel bills, and the team’s allowances.
The Gambia is on second position and the Scorpions who are confident of making it to the continent’s biggest football event for the second time, are poised to get the maximum points when they lock horns with the Red Devils of Congo.
The Scorpions though, need only a point to qualify to the AFCON 2024.
